usually Nike + Running = bad news but not for this shoe in fact, dare I say its just as fast, comfortable and definitely lighter than my Asics. Who would of thought? I bought these sneaks on a whim b/c a) I left my asics home that day and needed a cheap, affordable running shoe for my run club that eve that would also look stylish to wear for my impeccable social scene. No way did I think that I would be wearing these as frequently as my Asics or my Sauconies for running, in fact I just assumed I would wear them once or twice and just keep em for style there afterwards. Just a whim, they looked super rad and were on sale. So, I decided why not and took em home. At the store, they fit really comfortable for Nike's but feared, from bad experiences in the past, that these Nike's would be a big fail and make my feet miserable in the long term. To my very pleasant surprise, I felt more nimble and accelerated quicker with these bad boys the first time I wore them, that and after my run with my club that eve (about a 2 hr practice), my feet weren't sore, no aches or pain in the feet, ankles or knees. What? am I really wearing Nike's? and is really possible to have both uber coolness, comfort, lightness and style. They are nearly the ideal runners shoe b/c of the thick tread (sole) with the air pockets in the back for attenuation (shock absorption), with a slight rubbery back heal that comes close to the ankle for added support, the sides, forefront and 80% of the sneak are made up of a very breathable and super light (hence lite +) material. Follow that up with extra padding for toe guards and great ergonomics for comfort and for continuance pivot/roll from heel to toe. The inside ankle feels super soft and conforms nicely to your feet, not only does this shoe make you feel secure and support but with its light weight and classic Air Max sole makes for a nearly perfect entry level runners shoe that can compete easily with the big boys. 6 months later and they are still going strong, no wear or tear on the shoe itself or on my feet or body. Good rotation shoe, feels great on the road and on the track. Will give your running game and style a boost. Very happy!!
